What Is Commercial General Liability?
commonly referred to "slip and fall" coverage stemming from the retail industry which has a lot of customer traffic on its premises
- the first line of defense against many common claims
- covers claims of bodily injury or other physical injury or property damage to others whether it was intentional or not
- does not cover assault and battery if committed by the insured
- frequently offered in a package with Property insurance to protect a business against incidents that may occur on the premises or at other covered locations where business is normally conducted
- enables businesses to continue operations while they face real or fraudulent claims of certain types of negligence or wrongdoing
- protects against financial loss resulting from claims of injury or damage caused to others by the insured business and it's employees
