If you are renting a car, do you need to purchase collision damage waiver coverage from the rental car company?
Yes
1. If you do not have physical damage and loss of use coverage on your personal auto insurance. Physical damage coverage is coverage for the damage to your vehicle including hired (rental) or non owned autos. Loss of use coverage is coverage for the loss of income to the rental car company.
2. If you rent the car for use outside of the United States.
3. If you rent the car for business use and your company does not offer coverage.
No
1. If you have physical damage and loss of use coverage on your personal auto policy - same limits and deductibles on your policy apply. Know what they are always. Take your ID card with you.
2. If you already have coverage on a credit card.
Hope this helps. Always call at 281-558-2210 or email service@suzannebrownagency.com if you want to confirm and have us review your coverages for us. Visit us at www.suzannebrownagency.com
