Keeping Trees off Roofs

Several reasons to keep trees from touching roof:

- Trees limbs can fall onto the roof causing roof damage
- Limbs touching roof lines can hold moisture on the roof
- Limbs touching the roof can damage shingles lifting them or removing protective granules
- Leaves can hold moisture, adding weight and allowing for water penetration
- Limbs touching the roof can give a path to destructive insects or rodents onto your roof

It's right before the peak of hurricane season.  Still time this week to trim trees back to avoid future problems that could have been avoided.
